Paul Hogan, popular for his portrayal of the iconic Mick “Crocodile” Dundee in the Crocodile Dundee film series, experienced muscle wastage and significant weight loss due to a diagnosis of retroperitoneal fibrosis. The singer’s failing health got his fans’ attention last year in December after he was seen in a wheelchair.

However, despite his health challenges, Hogan was recently seen outdoors at the Royal Randwick Racecourse in Sydney, where he went to support a friend at an event.

Hogan’s recent public appearance comes weeks after discussing his health challenges in a candid interview on A Current Affair. In a shared excerpt from the interview on the platform X, formerly Twitter, the 84-year-old candidly shared his experience coping with retroperitoneal fibrosis while shedding light on the toll it took on his well-being.

“I’m not in the place I’m meant to be, but I’m not allowed to complain about anything,” the entertainer lamented. “[I’ve] been better. I had a problem on that aorta in the kidney, and the treatment fixed it, but it shrunk me. I’ve lost all my body fat.”

He also revealed that even though he was able to successfully treat the ailment, the side effects were more than he bargained for. “The cure was worse than the disease,” Hogan confessed, “The muscles all shrank. … It left me feeble.”
