Brenda Lee Still ‘Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree’ 65 Years After Her Hit Song’s Release

Brenda Lee is back at 78 years old with a fitting music video for her holiday song, “Rocking Around The Christmas Tree. Tanya Tucker and Trisha Yearwood joined the Rock & Roll and Country Music Hall of Fame artists to revive the 1958 classic, which Brenda released at 13. In the video, she performed in a gorgeous red caftan, with a festive backdrop of red drapes and a lit Christmas tree behind her.

Lee released a statement in celebration of the song’s 65th anniversary, which read, “For those out there who know me and have supported me and my music through the years, I’m very proud to be putting out the first ever music video for ‘Rockin.’ This song has been so special to me— I never thought it would be my signature song, but I love that it is because it brings so much joy.”
