Former USA President Jimmy Carter is grieving the loss of his cherished wife, Rosalynn Carter, who recently passed away at 96 just two days after entering hospice care. The Carter Center announced that she peacefully departed on Sunday, November 19, surrounded by family members. She is survived by her husband, their four children, as well as 22 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In an official statement, the 39th president of the United States of America, who opted for hospice care in February, reflected on his 77-year-long marriage. He also shared the profound impact Rosalynn had on him all through her life.

One of Carter’s children, Chip, also had amazing words to describe his late mother. “Besides being a loving mother and extraordinary First Lady, my mother was a great humanitarian in her own right,” he wrote in a statement. “Her life of service and compassion was an example for all Americans. She will be sorely missed not only by our family but by the many people who have better mental health care and access to resources for caregiving today.”
