It has been a tough year for Die Hard star Bruce Willis and his family. The iconic actor was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), leading to a halt in his career and affecting his communication skills. His family has been supportive and vocal about his condition in a bid to raise awareness about FTD.

Bruce’s daughter, Tallulah, whom he shares with his ex-wife Demi Moore, recently took to Instagram to share photos of him over the years. “Damn, these photos are hitting tonight. You’re my whole damn heart, and I’m so proud to be your Tallulah Belle Bruce Willis,” she captioned the shots.

The latest updates on Bruce’s health reveal that he is losing his language skills and is no longer the “voracious reader” he used to be. This news came from Glenn Gordon Caron, the creator of Moonlighting, who worked with Bruce on the film. Glenn said Bruce had lost his “joie de vivre” and ability to remember who he was after spending time with him.

Bruce’s wife, Emma Hemmings, with whom he shares two young daughters, wrote in Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper that she feels guilty “knowing that I have resources that others don’t.” She also expressed concern for non-celebrity families going through the same with their voices unheard. “When what I share about our family’s journey gets press attention, I know that there are many thousands of untold, unheard stories, each of them deserving of compassion and concern,” she added.

Fans react to Bruce’s photos

Tallulah received heartfelt comments from empathizing fans on her new post of Bruce. “Very sweet! Amazing bond, it’s obvious and beautiful,” someone wrote. Another found her post relatable and shared their experience, too. “I’m going through something not too dissimilar with my father, and sometimes it is tough to look back on the past, but just remember how great it was,” the user said.

Someone else who learned their father had dementia in 2019 commended the Willis family for how they “come together in love” for Bruce and asked Tallulah to “give him a hug for me.”

“You’re always his girl, you carry him & his love that transcends everything, big hug TBBW,” another user stated.
