Matt LeBlanc Mourns ‘Friends’ Co-Star Matthew Perry With Emotional Tribute

Friends actor Matt LeBlanc recently took to social media to pay a heartfelt tribute to his late friend and co-star Matthew Perry, who passed away last month. LeBlanc and Perry developed a strong bond during their time on the hit TV show Friends, where they played the iconic characters Joey Tribbiani and Chandler Bing.

Their on-screen chemistry translated into a genuine off-screen friendship. Over the years, the duo have shared numerous anecdotes about their close relationship, often highlighting the camaraderie that developed during the show’s ten-year run.

The 56-year-old shared a collection of photos capturing moments from their time on the NBC sitcom and added a heartfelt caption expressing gratitude for the incredible friendship they shared and bidding farewell to his departed friend.

“It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life. It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend,” he wrote. “I will always smile when I think of you, and I’ll never forget you. Never. Spread your wings and fly, brother you’re finally free. Much love, and I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me.”

Leblanc also previously joined other Friends cast members as they united to pay respect and cherish the memory of their beloved colleague.

“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss,” the Friends cast wrote in a statement. “In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
