Tom Jones recently returned to Britain’s The Voice judge’s panel, joining will.i.am, Olly Murs, and Anne Marie, as the new season commenced on September 25. However, viewers and fans soon noticed a strange spot on his face, and they worried about his health.
Despite the 83-year-old’s active participation as he showcased his talent in the judges’ rendition of “Stairway to Heaven” and delivering verdicts on contestants’ performances, viewers could not ignore the brown mark on Jones’ cheek during the broadcast, and they promptly took to social media to express their concerns.

Sir Tom Jones has been vocal about his health challenges
The 83-year-old, who had battled several health challenges in the past, has always been vocal about his struggles. During ITV’s Entertainment Autumn Showcase last year, Jones revealed that he had both his hips replaced in 2017 and in 2022.
“I’ve got to have a new hip. I had [my left hip] done five years ago, and it worked great, so now [my right hip’s] starting to go. Wear and tear! So, at the moment, I’m bone on bone!” he confessed. “That’s what the fella [doctor] told me. But I’ve got a tour to do in America first, I can’t go in now. He said, ‘Well, you should!’ I said, ‘I can’t, I’ve got a show to do!'”
Jones also took to Instagram after his 2022 hip surgery to share his health update with his fans. “Papa has two new hips now! For all those concerned and sent in well wishes,” he captioned the post. “I am pleased to report my recent surgery went very well, I’m following orders and doing my physio, so happy to say I will be back soon!”
