Jennifer Aniston won viewers‘ hearts playing Rachel Green in the beloved NBC sitcom Friends. However, four years before her breakthrough role in the 10-season show, Jennifer starred alongside The Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik in a forgotten sitcom titled Molloy.
Molloy only lasted from July to August 1990, showing only ten episodes with three unaired ones. Unlike Rachel Green in Friends, Jennifer’s character, Courtney Walke in Molloy, was a snobbish half-sister to Mayim, and both siblings never got along.
‘Molloy’
The short-lived series featured an 11-year-old girl whose life changed after her mother died. Molloy had to move in with her stepmother and step-siblings, whom she did not like. The show looked promising as she tried settling in with her new family while plotting and planning against them; however, it never sailed beyond a few episodes.

Mayim, who was a highly sought-after young actress, was on the pilot episode of Blossom, which aired two weeks before Molloy’s release. Blossom garnered more attention, leading the production house to cancel Molloy and focus on the leading option. However, despite the failure of the sitcom series, it gave Jennifer her debut TV appearance.
Mayim and Jennifer stayed friends after ‘Molloy’
Throughout her successful career, Jennifer has found lasting friendships among her co-stars, including Mayim, who is a part of her inner circle. Other celebrities like Jason Bateman, Adam Sandler, Sandra Bullock, and, unsurprisingly, the entire cast of Friends are close pals with the award-winning actress.
In December 2015, Mayim shared a throwback photo of herself and Jennifer while referencing the sitcom they did together. “Yes, this is me and Jennifer Aniston in my childhood bedroom. We did a show together before I did ‘Blossom.’ #tbt !!!” she wrote, captioning the adorable photo of them hugging and smiling.
