Stevie Nicks recently announced the unveiling of her Barbie doll by Mattel at her October 1st show in Madison Square Garden, New York. “I have something very exciting to share with you a few hours before the rest of the world. I was very overwhelmed. Will she be like me? Will she have my spirit? Will she have my heart?” she gushed.
The 75-year-old Fleetwood Mac icon shared that Mattel approached her over a year ago for the collaboration that has now birthed a doll inspired by her Rumours album cover. Stevie’s Barbie is one to have and is already sold out before its release in November.

“When I look at her, I see my 27 year old self. All the memories of walking out on a big stage in that black outfit and those gorgeous boots come rushing back, and then I see myself now in her face,” Stevie wrote on X— formerly Twitter. “I am her and she is me. She absolutely has my heart.”
Stevie loaned her dress to Mattel
Designer Bill Greening noted that Stevie loaned Mattel the album cover’s dress for reference in order to create her perfect doll. The famous dress was one of her “Rhiannon” outfits, named after the band’s 1975 self-titled album about a Welsh witch. Stevie held up the doll on stage last Sunday, showing off her “fabulous boots.”
Mattel’s description of the $55 doll reads, “Barbie honors the iconic “Queen of Rock and Roll,” Stevie Nicks, with a collectible doll that emulates her signature spellbinding style.” They go on to describe her outfit as “ethereal,” featuring “a velvety wrap bodice with a layered skirt that drapes and swirls like smoke.”
“As in the hit song Rhiannon, Stevie looks ready to take to the sky like a bird in flight with her flowing chiffon statement sleeves,” they added. “Stevie’s bewitching look is finished with her signature golden moon necklace, tall black boots, and a tambourine with cascading ribbons.”
