Fashion designer Vera Wang is known for her youthful appearance despite being in her 70s; however, her daughter’s age came as a shock to fans when she wished her happy birthday on Instagram recently. “To my beautiful daughter Josephine. So thrilled to have celebrated your 30th birthday with you! I am so filled with pride,” she captioned the image.
For her part, Josephine, wore a plunging black dress with her hair in a side part as she enjoyed dinner with family and friends. Fans always thought Wang’s daughter was far younger than her age and could not hide their disbelief in the comments section.
Fan reactions to Jospehine’s age
Fans complimented Wang for the good genes she passed on to her daughter. Many also admitted they always thought Josephine was a teenager. “Wang genes need to be studied. She freaking looks like 16,” a user commented.

Wang maintains a good bond with her daughters
Wang adopted her girls, Cecilia and Josephine, with her ex-husband, Arthur Becker. Although she and Arthur split in 2021, she has remained close to her daughters, whom she fondly calls “Cesi” and “Jo.” Wang told New York Magazine that she never considered getting married and having children, she just wanted to be a “fashion nun…living, eating, breathing clothes.”
Following some advice from Anna Wintour and Ralph Lauren, she saw a need for family but never stopped working. Wang introduced her girls to the fashion world when they were babies and raised them in New York City, across the street from her childhood home in Manhattan.
