Salma Hayek brought the fashion to the New York Fashion Week in a stunning red Gucci dress with a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit. The Frida star co-chaired alongside Oprah Winfrey and Christy Turlington at the Caring for Women dinner hosted by the Kering Foundation.

In the photo shared to her Instagram from the event, Hayek noted that she was “supporting a cause very close to my heart.” Per usual, fans and fellow celebrities soon filled the comments with compliments and kind words for the gorgeous movie star.

The 57-year-old has her hair let down in a center part and minimal curls, all thanks to Jennifer Yepez, her hair stylist for the night, who was also the former ambassador for Jessica Alba’s Honest hair care line. Other celebrities were also present at the event and looked amazing as well.

Other stars were present to support the cause

Famous faces like Nicole Kidman, Kim Kardashian, Leonardo DiCaprio, Zoë Kravitz, and Channing Tatum were spotted at the glam black-tie affair alongside Hayek on Tuesday night in New York. They joined her to raise money to support non-governmental organizations that aided abused women.

“I have been fighting for women’s rights and domestic violence for over 30 years because it’s about dignity. It is so important to speak out when a woman is being abused because in fighting for women, we are fighting for humanity,” Hayek, who is passionate about women’s rights, told Vanity Fair.

“No. I never experienced domestic violence at home. I want to help because I want to help empower women and contribute to a world where I want to be a part of,” she added. Oprah, who co-chaired with Hayek, also spoke about her experience conversing with abused women on her 25-season show, The Oprah Winfrey Show.
