Recently, Aerosmith embarked on their much-anticipated Peace Out, The Farewell Tour, marking the end of an era in rock music. The tour commenced with a performance on September 2 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

However, the planned event took another turn for the band members and their fans when Aerosmith frontman, Steven Tyler suffered vocal cord damage, leading to severe bleeding during his performance in Elmont, New York.

Following the incident, the singer met with a specialist in Boston who confirmed that he had ruptured his voice box. Being a major setback for their planned tour, Tyler took to Instagram to announce the heartbreaking news and the rescheduling of some of the dates of the events.

“I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days,” he wrote. “I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding. We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.”

Steven Tyler is determined to get back to his shows as soon as possible

A source revealed that despite the discomfort and potential risk associated with the singer’s vocal cord damage, Tyler has made the courageous choice to soldier on and finish the show, showcasing his unwavering commitment to his fans.

The insider added that Tyler is determined to return to the stage immediately after he completes the doctor-prescribed 30 days of vocal rest period. “Steven’s an animal,” the source confessed. “There’s no stopping him.”
