Paulina Porizkova is keeping the close of summer hot as she rocked a print bikini to show off her gorgeous body. The 58-year-old former supermodel shared the sultry photo on her Instagram with a caption that was meant to inspire body positivity, and appreciating one’s body while admiring others.
“In the past, I would at first make the inevitable millisecond comparison, feel ashamed for not measuring up, and then deal with my shame and envy, which would manifest in either putting the woman down (in my head- not online!) or putting myself down,” she wrote, adding that it took her years to adopt a better outlook on her imperfections.
Fans could not get enough of Paulina

Fans took to the comments to praise the mother of two and also share their similar experiences with body image and comparison. “I think it would be so wonderful for women to begin focusing and posting about other things. Culture, books, ideas, inspiration, philanthropy, etc., so so so many women do makeup posts, fashion posts, etc, etc. Let’s stop talking about looks and maybe people will stop talking about our looks,” a fan wrote.

However, a fan thought there were better ways for Paulina to pass her message across without using an ‘artfully lit photo of her body in a bikini.’ “It can compound the problem for some women who find themselves unhappily comparing themselves to her and now also feeling even worse about themselves because Paulina, who they look up to, has told them that if they knew how to love themselves, they wouldn’t compare,” they added.
Paulina always advocated for positive body image
Paulina has always been one to talk about body image and aging; back in 2022, following the release of her book of essays— No Filter: The Good, The Bad and the Beautiful, she opened up about aging to Yahoo Life. “Truly when they say that I was in my prime, the only thing about me that was prime was that my face did not have any wrinkles, I didn’t have any on my body, that I was a smooth canvas,” she said.
As much as the Czech model receives admiration from fans, she has also faced backlash for going nearly bare in some of her posts. “What I was trying to convey was that even a great photo of an older woman in which she looks ‘younger,’ society has decided her face or body are somehow wrong- not good ENOUGH,” she wrote in 2022, referring to a post that received criticism due to her bare face.
