In a 2017 interview with the EXAMINER, Julia Samuel, a close friend of Diana, disclosed that had she been alive today, she would readily embrace the role of a grandmother with great enthusiasm and affection due to her genuine love for children. “Diana would’ve been a fantastic grandmother,” she told the news outlet. “She was warm, loving and fun. Someone who gave children the presents they loved but the parents didn’t want them to have because they were so huge and noisy!”
