Famous TV personality Bob Barker was confirmed dead on Saturday in an official statement by his longtime publicist, Roger Neal. “It is with profound sadness that we announce that the World’s Greatest MC who ever lived, Bob Barker, has left us,” the statement reads.
The beloved game show host spent the final years of his life away from the spotlight while his girlfriend, Nancy Burnet, cared for him. However, Bob’s last public photo— taken in early 2021— indicated that he may have been ailing before his death at age 99.
Bob’s last known picture
In the photo, the The Price Is Right host is seen in a wheelchair on the front lawn of his Los Angeles house while his nurses and care providers are around him. Bob, who was 97 years old then, was enjoying the sunlight in a flannel jacket, a red shirt, and gray sweatpants, with a walker in front of him.

Just a year before the photo was taken, Bob suffered a fall at home, and the paramedics showed up to help him; however, they did not transport him to the hospital as the impact of the fall wasn’t pronounced. His rep announced then that he was “at home resting and is comfortable.”
Bob experienced severe back pain
Also, in 2018, Bob was hospitalized at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center due to severe back pain, but the rep assured the public that he was “awake, alert, and improving, but he’s up and down.”
Per Bob’s request, he will be buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in the Hollywood Hills beside his late wife, Dorothy Jo, who died in 1981. Based on his wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held in his honor.
