Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of the King of Rock ‘N’ Roll, Elvis Presley, passed away on January 12, 2023. Recently, Priscilla Presley, the mother of the late Lisa Marie, bravely opened up about the precious final moments she shared with her beloved daughter.
While discussing with The Hollywood Reporter, Priscilla recounted that she and her daughter were together at the iconic Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles to honor the remarkable achievement of Austin Butler, who had just clinched a Golden Globe award for his exceptional portrayal of Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s cinematic masterpiece, Elvis.

She explained that during the event, she sensed that something was amiss with her daughter when she told her she was experiencing stomach ache.

“I did know there was something not right. We had just gotten there, you go down all these stairs,” Priscilla confessed. “We hadn’t even had a drink yet. She goes, ‘Oh my God, Mom, you can’t even have a drink.’ … It was fun, a fun memory. Then we sat down and ordered drinks, and she says, ‘Mom, my stomach hurts really bad.’ We immediately got up and left.”

The 78-year-old shared that a few days after the event, she got a phone call from Danny Keough, Lisa Marie’s ex-husband, imploring her to visit the hospital where she had been rushed. “I got right in the car, but she was already gone,” Priscilla says. “I still can’t believe it. I don’t wish this on any mother.”
The autopsy report detailed that the late singer passed away as a result of bowel obstruction from weight loss surgery.
