Jane Seymour Shares The Real Reason Why She’s Not Planning On Walking Down The Aisle A Fifth Time

Jane Seymour’s role as Bond girl Solitaire in the 1973 James Bond film, Live and Let Die, established her as a prominent actress. Following her success in the movie, the versatile actress appeared in various films and TV shows such as Somewhere in Time and the popular TV series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, which aired from 1993 to 1998 and earned her a Golden Globe award.

Despite her highly rewarding career, the 72-year-old has not been so lucky with love, as she has been through failed marriages, her last being James Keach, to whom she was married for 22 years. In a recent interview, the actress revealed that she is not planning to walk down the aisle again because she has learned to be “independent.”

After her last divorce, Seymour started seeing director David Green, and they have been in a relationship for the past nine years. In an interview with Saga Exceptional Magazine, Seymour revealed that even though she likes David, she does not intend to be wed to him.

“I’m not going to get married again,” she told the outlet. “David is more of a great friend and companion; someone I love and respect hugely, but the older I’ve got, the more independent I’ve become. There will not be another marriage.”

Jane Seymour has been through four failed marriages

The actress has experienced four failed marriages. Her first union was with theatre director Michael Attenborough, lasting from 1971 to 1973. Seymour tied the knot with Geoffrey Planer in 1977; sadly, their marriage only lasted a year, as they called it quits in 1978.

She entered her third marriage with actor David Flynn in 1981, where she welcomed two children, Katherine Flynn and Sean Flynn, before their divorce in 1992. Seymour married actor James Keach a year later and became parents to twins John Stacy and Kristopher Steven before their divorce in 2015.
