The Royals co-stars, Elizabeth Hurley and Joan Collins, who played on-screen daughter and mother, recently teamed up to enjoy some girl time in St. Tropez, France. Hurley shared the video of them dancing to “Sous le Ciel de Paris,” which translates to “Under the Sky of France” by Pomplamoose featuring Ross Garren, on her Instagram page.
The song, which was written for the 1951 French film Sous le ciel de Paris, directed by Julien Duvivier, was very fitting for the clip. They looked great in their hats and sunglasses, sharing an air kiss and rocking their shoulders to the music. “Lunch in beautiful St Tropez with the one and only @joancollinsdbe,” the caption reads.

Impressed fans revealed how stunned they were to see how good and youthful the ladies looked at their ages. Joan turned 90 in May, and Hurley, 58, some weeks after her. “Liz, you are a freak of nature. How can you stay so youthful!? You don’t look a day over 30,” a comment reads. “STILL the most beautiful woman on Earth,” someone else agreed.

Other fans gushed about the relationship both women have formed, outside of working on set together. “Ooh, some stories you could both tell,” someone wrote. “Two lovely ladies,” another fan said. Joan’s posts showed a few other friends on the trip, including actor Christopher Biggins.
Hurley and Joan have a great relationship
Hurley and Joan have been friends even before the making of The Royals. They hoped to play mother and daughter on TV before 2015, but it never worked out until then. “I’ve known her for years and years and years. We’ve had two near misses in the past where we were going to play mother and daughter, and finally, this came together,” Hurley told InStyle. “It was a dream come true for both of us because we play very well together.”
Beyond being great friends, Hurley also admires Joan’s acting prowess and commended her in the same interview. “We adore Joan Collins being on the set. We love it. We’re all excited when Dame Joan comes on, and she’s fabulous,” she said, adding that Joan’s character as Grand Duchess Alexander of Oxford was an “interesting” one.
