Sylvester Stallone and his wife of twenty-six years, Jennifer Flavin, have been going strong despite the threat of a split last year. Recently, Sylvester celebrated his wife with a sweet Instagram post of her holding one of their dogs as she turned 55.
“Happy birthday to my incredible wife, Jennifer,” he captioned the photo of Flavin in a colorfully patterned dress and blonde hair let down with blunt cut bangs. Fans and friends also joined him in wishing her a happy birthday in the comments section. “Happy Birthday @jenniferflavinstallone ! Hope you have a wonderful day!” a fan wrote.

Sylvester and Flavin met in 1988 at a restaurant in Beverly Hills, with Flavin being 19 at the time and the actor in his 40s. By then, Sylvester had been married twice with two sons from his first marriage to Sasha Czack. He and Flavin dated until 1994, when Sylvester cheated, then reunited in 1995.

The couple took their relationship further, married in May 1997, and have been together ever since. Like most marriages, Sylvester and his former model wife have had their fair share of marital challenges. In August 2022, Flavin announced they were getting divorced, with Sylvester confirming the news online. “I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues,” he stated.
Twenty-six years and more to go
Exactly a month after the disheartening news of a split, the couple called off the divorce to the relief of fans and well-wishers. “There was a reawakening of what was more valuable than anything, which is my love for my family,” Sylvester told The Sunday Times. “It takes precedence over my work, and that was a hard lesson to learn.”
The actor admitted that he prioritized work over family in the past, which took a toll on his family. He is now making an effort to be involved in their lives more than before. “I was so career-oriented, and now I go, ‘OK, I don’t have that much runway up ahead, and I want to start asking them about their lives,'” he said.
The 77-year-old actor, his wife, and children recently started a reality show called The Family Stallone, which gives a view into their family life beyond their careers and social media posts.
