She proceeded to ask her “Umma” what skincare tips she had aside from skincare products and her diet. “Are there other things that you’ve done that you think help your skin age so beautifully?” she asked. Her mother-in-law responded, saying she follows the 3-minute routine, which she learned from her mother as a young lady. “Since I was, like, 20 years old. I always, after washing my face at night, use massage cream [to] massage my face [for] three minutes,” she shared.
Viewers wished the 72-year-old had her own TikTok account
The 72-year-old admitted that although she got tired of the routine in her sixties, it contributed significantly to her good looks in old age. She also demonstrated the 3-minute ritual, showing viewers how to massage the cream in strokes towards the outer corner of the face.
Inspired viewers commented on how pretty she looked for her age. “She is so BEAUTIFUL DEAR LORD,” someone gushed. Another person requested that she gets her own TikTok account to share more beauty tips. “I wish she had her own account,” they suggested. “I would follow her and learn from her tips.”
Although there is no scientific backing that facial massages slow down aging, many senior women on TikTok swear by the skin-preserving method.
