Mick Jagger Gets A Sweet Hug From His 6-Year-Old Son As He Turns 80

Mick Jagger’s girlfriend Melanie Hamrick recently shared an adorable post celebrating the rock legend’s 80th birthday. The Instagram post featured a photo of herself and Mick with their 6-year-old son, Deveraux, who lovingly clings to his dad’s leg. “Happy birthday, my love,” Melanie captioned the photo.

Mick and his former ballerina girlfriend have been together since 2014 and recently got engaged. Mick welcomed his son Deveraux two years into his relationship with Melanie, in addition to his children from previous relationships. Like his performer dad and former dancer mom, Deveraux is a cheerful boy who loves dancing.

Mick and Melanie love to travel with their son

In an interview with The Times magazine, Melanie revealed what life has been like as a parent, a working mom, and a frequent traveler. The 36-year-old, who recently debuted her first novel, First Position, revealed that she and Mick prefer to live “just full nomad” with Deveraux. She also added that her new ballet-based romance novel helped her connect to her former craft, which she left to focus on family.

“We want to travel as long as we can until school gets us,” she said, explaining that his tutor travels with them. The 6-year-old attends school in Los Angeles and goes to school “a little bit” while in France with his parents. In another chat, Melanie joked about Deveraux picking up her book to read, “I didn’t realize how well he was reading. He opened it and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, give me that book!'”

Deveraux moves like Jagger!

Instagram

Little Deveraux has been seen to bust a few moves like his dad on some occasions. In May, Melanie posted a video of Deveraux dancing in front of onlookers. “My wonderful, wild, sweet, beautiful Dev!! I am beyond blessed and thankful to be his Mama! Happy Mother’s Day !!!!!” she wrote, adding heart and flower emojis.

At a Rolling Stones concert in Liverpool, England, last year, Deveraux, who was five then, was seen dancing backstage to 1969’s “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” via his mother’s Instagram stories. Fans commented on Melanie’s post from that day, highlighting the resemblance Mick and their cute son shared. “Dev inherited yours and his dad’s dancing skills!” someone wrote. “He sure has the moves,” another added.
