Recently, fresh information regarding the events preceding Madonna’s emergency hospitalization to the intensive care unit following a bacterial infection came to light. When first responders got to the singer, they had no option but to administer Narcan —a drug used to combat septic shock to resuscitate her before she was swiftly transported to the hospital. She was admitted for a couple of days for proper medical care and monitoring.
Subsequently, the singer’s health crisis forced her to postpone The Celebration Tour, which was set to commence on July 15 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver. “At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour,” Madonna’s manager shared. “We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”
Sources say that Madonna is currently recuperating
Following her discharge from the hospital, the seven-time Grammy winner is currently confined to bed and recuperating in the comfort of her own home. An insider revealed that Madonna now considers her health a top priority, thus, she had made the decision not to compromise her recovery by pushing forward with the show.

Madonna is getting good support from her children
Following the health scare, Madonna has received the support of her children, who have been visiting her, to offer their care and encouragement. Recently, her sons Rocco, and David, were observed arriving at her residence located in New York City’s Upper East Side, and a few days later, the siblings were seen departing from Madonna’s apartment.
The source says the singer is quite appreciative of the love and care she’s received from her children and well-wishers. “She has an incredible support system around her and appreciates all the love she’s received since she was taken to a hospital June 24,” the insider confirms. “It’s a work in progress but she’s feeling confident and better every day.”
