Madonna, who is preparing for her upcoming tour slated to begin on July 15, was reportedly found unresponsive recently. The singer was immediately rushed to the hospital and was subsequently admitted to Intensive Care Unit, where she was immediately intubated.
Prior to collapsing, sources claimed that the 64-year-old had battled with a persistent low-grade fever over the course of a month until she experienced the loss of consciousness, which necessitated immediate medical intervention.
An insider who spoke to TMZ revealed that her medical team believed that the fever she had indicated an underlying infection, and this escalated because she didn’t get herself checked into a hospital as soon as she noticed the symptom. Also, her busy work schedule and her continuous physical exertion while preparing for her upcoming celebration tour added to her health breakdown.
After a thorough examination and laboratory test results, Madonna was diagnosed with a “serious bacterial infection,” leading to her admission to the intensive care unit for an extended period.
Although Madonna’s health has improved significantly, and her prognosis looks good, the singer’s condition at the time of her hospitalization was so grave that her family held deep concerns regarding the potential outcome, fearing that she might not recover from the illness.
During her stay in the intensive care unit over the weekend, a relative expressed a poignant observation, stating that there was a pervasive belief among those close to her that they could potentially face the devastating possibility of losing her. “For the past couple of days, no one really knew which direction this was going to turn, and her family was preparing for the worst,” the family member confessed. “That has been the reality of the situation.”
