Mel Brooks, who has established himself as a living legend in the realm of film comedy, initially began his career in television, writing for Sid Caesar’s Your Show of Shows before co-creating the iconic spy spoof series Get Smart. However, it was in the realm of film that Brooks achieved his greatest fame and success, making his mark as a film director and screenwriter with the Oscar-winning comedy The Producers, after which he continued to create a string of iconic parodies that became massive hits.

Films such as Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein are not only widely regarded as two of the best comedies of all time but also established Brooks as a comedic genius. His filmography also includes other notable works such as Silent Movie, History of the World, Part I, Spaceballs, and Robin Hood: Men in Tights.
