The 82-year-old, who is known for hits like “That’s What Friends Are For,” experienced an undisclosed problem with one of her legs recently, and this ultimately led her to make the difficult decision of canceling her show scheduled for June 24.
The management of the venue took to its social media pages to inform fans about the cancellation of the show. “We regret to inform you that Dionne Warwick’s concert at the Rivers Casino Des Plaines has been canceled. We received notification from Ms. Warwick that she is experiencing a minor health issue related to one of her legs,” the statement read. “As a result, she has made the decision to prioritize her well-being and has decided to cancel the show scheduled for June 24. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and wish Dionne Warwick a speedy recovery. We appreciate your understanding and continued support.”
The singer has not been sick in a while
The renowned hitmaker rarely falls ill, and her most recent documented medical incident dates back to 2015. Dionne experienced hospitalization in January 2015 following a slip in her shower at home. After the incident, she underwent ankle surgery and was subsequently discharged from the hospital.

Amidst her latest health challenges, the singer is yet to announce if her other scheduled performance on July 21, Aug 9, Aug 11, Sept 1, and Sept 2 will hold in New York, Delaware, Kentucky, California, and Beverly Hills, respectively.

A spokesperson of the singer revealed to Fox News Digital that she is in a recovery state. “It’s a minor issue that has been fixed, and she is fine.” However, despite the disappointment caused by the cancellation of the live performance, numerous fans took to Twitter to express their heartfelt messages and good wishes to the beloved star. “Wishing queen Dionne Warwick a speedy recovery,” a fan tweeted.
