Tommy Lee’s Wife Says Husband’s Ex Heather Locklear Was ‘Love Of His Life’, Not Pam

Tommy Lee has had a series of high-profile relationships and marriages that have caught the attention of the media and the public alike. His first notable union was with Heather Locklear, whom he tied the knot with in 1986  before he then married Pamela Anderson in 1995. During their time together, the ex-lovers had two sons; however, their relationship was not without its challenges as they faced numerous controversies — including a scandal involving a stolen sex tape that was leaked online.

Despite attempts to reconcile, their relationship ultimately ended in a highly publicized divorce in 1998. Following his tumultuous marriage to Pamela Anderson, Tommy Lee found love again, this time with social media personality Brittany Furlan. The couple began dating and subsequently announced their engagement in 2018. On Valentine’s Day in 2019, they exchanged vows and got married.

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Brittany Furlan revealed that contrary to the public’s perception of Tommy Lee’s relationship with Anderson, it was actually actress Heather Locklear that he cherished the most. “Everyone glorifies his relationship with Pam,” the 36-year-old admitted, “but he was married to Heather for [nearly] eight years.”

She further stated that the ex-couple have maintained close contact over the years despite their divorce. “She was the love of his life,” Furlan confessed. “I see it because she’s just a fun, sweet, caring, awesome person … Tommy even says he messed up in that relationship. He cheated on her. To this day, that’s why they’re still really good friends.”

Furlan revealed to the publication that she has struck a meaningful friendship with Locklear, and she is glad to be on good terms with her. “Heather and I are very close. She’s awesome, I love her. I think she’s the most kind, down-to-earth person. We met through Tommy, obviously, and became close. She’s just very cool, very nice, just supportive, and just a cool chick all around,” she told PEOPLE. “There’s a lot that goes on that I don’t share publicly that kept that from happening, [but] she’s very, very nice, so I’ve managed to have a relationship with her and I am so grateful for that.”

The internet personality also confessed that she was surprised that her husband was guilty of infidelity towards so amazing a person as Locklear. “I yell at my husband, I’m like, ‘I can’t believe you cheated on her. She’s so cool,'” Furlan said. “That was a different time. He was 25 years old, 26 years old. Not to make excuses, but he’s a very different man now from all those years ago. You live and you learn.”
