Former child star Danny Bonaduce, who gained fame in the ’70s for his role as Danny Partridge on the popular television sitcom The Partridge Family, is currently recovering from brain surgery following his recent neurological disorder diagnosis—hydrocephalus, which impaired his ability to walk.
The radio personality has been in four different marriages and welcomed two children (Countess Isabella Bonaduce and Count Dante Bonaduce) with his second wife Gretchen Bonaduce. Danny and his ex-wife called their relationship a quit officially on April 9, 2007, after citing irreconcilable differences. Despite the fact that Danny and Gretchen don’t maintain a close bond, they still reach out to discuss issues concerning their children.
“We really don’t communicate very often unless it’s about our kids. Our daughter is getting married in October, so we talk about that,” Gretchen revealed. “And our son is almost 18, so we discuss things when it comes to the kids.”
Gretchen also confessed that Danny looks happy without her in his life, and he seems to be living the best of it. “He’s happily married again, and I’m so happy for him, Gretchen confessed. “I don’t want bad things for him.”
Prior to his recent diagnosis, which has left him immobile, Danny proudly walked his daughter down the aisle in October 2018 as she got married to her long-time boyfriend, Simon Mitchell. The excited dad took to Twitter to share the exciting news with his fans by posting a photo from the event and adding a nice caption.
“This is my daughter yesterday on her wedding day. She married a wonderful young man, and she looked beautiful,” he captioned the post “But only one of us is a natural redhead. Congrats to Isabella and her husband Simon.”
