Mark Consuelos On Ryan Seacrest’s Touching Gift He Left Him On The Co-Host’s Last Day

Recently, Ryan Seacrest, who co-hosted the morning show Live with Kelly and Ryan for nearly six years, said his final goodbye to the show. However, before departing, the American Idol host had a surprise prepared for his successor, Mark Consuelos, who made his debut as co-host on the newly named Live with Kelly and Mark.

Consuelos recently shared in an exclusive interview with People magazine the heartwarming parting gift that Seacrest left for him as a warm welcome to the show. “He left all his furniture, which is amazing,” Consuelos told the news outlet. “He left me a beautiful hand-written note with a gorgeous photograph of Steve McQueen. It’s going to go right there on the wall.”

Mark Consuelos and his wife, Kelly Ripa, reveal which of their children could co-host the show

Prior to Consuelos’s debut episode on the show, he and his wife shared their thoughts on which of their children could become a potential co-host of the show. Kelly Ripa believes Michael would be the best fit for the job. “Michael talks about it constantly,” the mother of three revealed to PEOPLE. “When we told the kids Mark was [co-hosting], Michael was like ‘I would have been perfect for that!'”

Consuelos also made his opinion and claimed that Joaquin could possibly pull it off. “Joaquin’s a little reserved,” he explained. “But he would turn it on. He’s a drama student and he could turn it on for that hour, but I think he probably wouldn’t want to do that.”
