‘Masked Singer’ Unveils ‘Cheers’ Star Under Moose Costume

The March 29th ‘80s Night-themed episode of Masked Singer revealed two TV stars as Moose and Scorpio. Underneath the Moose costume was an actor from the iconic sitcom Cheers, while a reality TV starlet was in the golden Scorpio costume.

After an entertaining performance of “The Power of Love” by Huey Lewis & the News, the panelists — Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke, Ken Jeong, and Jenny McCarthy — took turns guessing who was wearing the Moose costume, with only one of them getting it right; however, for Scorpio, all the guesses were wrong.

‘Cheers’ Star George Wendt Was Unveiled As The Moose

Jenny McCarthy guessed the singer in the Moose outfit correctly as George Wendt. The 74-year-old played Norm Peterson on Cheers — a role that earned him multiple Primetime Emmy nominations for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series.

The actor revealed what motivated him to be on the Masked Singer show. “I thought maybe I’d win,” George told host Nick Cannon. He also described his experience on the show as “profoundly ridiculous.” To the panelists and those watching at home, George’s message to them was quite simple and short: “Let’s go have a beer,” he said.

None Of The Panelists Guessed The ‘Golden Scorpio’ Right

The second unveiling had the panelists coming up with different names like Denise Richards, Lisa Rinna, Willa Ford, and actress Heidi Klum, but all were wrong. Under the Scorpio outfit was the Selling Sunset starlet, Christine Quinn. American singer Robin Thicke spoke up after the unveiling that he could have guessed right, because he saw clues. “The first thing I thought of was Selling Sunset when I saw the package, when I saw the clues,” Thicke explained. “I totally messed it up, but it’s so great to have you on.”

Quinn, who has been a big fan of the show, responded to Thicke, saying, “I was, like, ‘If I’m gonna do it, I’m going out with a bang!’” She also added to Nick, “I was, like, ‘I wanna be on that show. That’s so fun! I wanna do it!’”

Scherzinger and McCarthy also praised Quinn for her performance and stage presence. “You owned the stage like you’ve done this before,” McCarthy said.

“I call myself a closet singer. So the fact that I’m here on the stage singing in front of people just goes to show that anything is possible if you put your mind to it and practice,” Quinn responded.
