Julia Roberts Embraces Bangs In Chic New Hairstyle

Studies have shown the ability to recognize a face is affected by changes in hairstyle. Julia Roberts proved this when she was unrecognizable as she debuted a totally new hairstyle that is a dramatic change from her usual do.

Roberts, 55, has long boasted a center part, with her face framed by long beach waves of warm chestnut brown hair. Back in ’89, Roberts admitted on Late Night with David Letterman that her hair color actually “is naturally blond — kind of a dark blond.” But this style change really changes the profile of her tresses. Julia Roberts gets bangs in a totally new hairstyle

Monday, March 27 marked the start of the Watches and Wonders event, held in Geneva, Switzerland. According to Paradise, that was everyone’s first look at Roberts with her new hairstyle. Instead of hair that’s all one length and parted down the middle, she now has bangs that fall past her eyebrows, and she appears to have a few layers to give that front area more movement and depth.

Roberts actually has several significant ties to the Watches and Wonders exposition. For one thing, she’s a brand ambassador for Chopard, a brand of artisan watches and jewelry, founded all the way back in 1860. She attended the event to discuss the Chopard Loves Cinema campaign. According to Chopard’s site, “Julia Roberts is now the muse of all the Maison’s women’s luxury watch and jewelry collections.”

She also helped discuss the Lucent Steel™ Programme, run by co-presidents Karl-Friedrich Scheufele and Caroline Scheufele.

The many styles of Roberts

Though her hairstyle has changed again, Roberts did not actually start off with those chestnut waves. She had to dye it from its natural dark blonde – along with some tight curls – for her very first film, Mystic Pizza, Roberts revealed to Letterman. Now, information like that is a revelation and Roberts is most recognizable for her chestnut brown tresses.

Roberts showed off a sleek, up-close look of the new do in an Instagram post. “‘Wanna Buy a Watch?’ Thank you Geneva and @Chopard. #watchesandwonders2023,” she captioned the post. It features Roberts in a dramatic pose, staring intently at the camera under her new fringe, wearing a cream-colored matching set.
