Canadian reality television show Drew Scott and his wife Linda Phan, a podcast producer, are both over the moon as they welcomed a baby boy — their first child — in May 2022. The couple, who have been married for four years, took to social media to post their newborn a few weeks after his birth. It should be remembered that Drew and Linda made the pregnancy public in December 2021 after two years of fertility therapy.
Sharing a lovely picture of Linda’s baby bump with an Instagram post, Drew said, “It has been an adventure to get here! We know we’re not alone in this experience and that everyone is filled with unique challenges along the way. When we first started down this path, we quickly felt so appreciative of the doctors we’ve been fortunate to work with, and fam and friends who supported us throughout, sharing their stories or simply just being there. It made an overwhelming time in our lives more manageable. We hope as we grow through this that even one of you reading this can also feel a little less lonely in whatever path you’re on!”
The couple endeavored to put the whole process from conception to delivery on record via social media, which thrilled their followers. Parker James Scott was born via a cesarean section in May after Linda went into labor for 44 hours. His birth coincided with the fourth anniversary of the couple.
Speaking on the podcast, Drew said, “Parker decided to come very efficiently on our anniversary. He’s stealing the show. It’s no longer about you and me on our anniversary.” Linda, for her part, replied, “He made it just in time to celebrate with us.”
Drew’s twin brother and co-host of Property Brothers, Jonathan, welcomed the little one via his Instagram, writing, “Parker James … you don’t know this yet, but you’re the luckiest kid in the world to have such an incredibly loving mommy and daddy in Drew and Linda. Get ready… I’m going to spoil you.”
Speaking about her experience as a mother on an episode of their podcast, Linda said, “Other than pooped, I feel great. Very happy that he’s finally here. I’m still in awe and in disbelief.
I feel like every step of this pregnancy has taken me time to adjust. And then as soon as I almost adjust, it’s onto the next milestone or the next thing. I feel like I’m always playing catchup with my feelings.”
The couple have been sharing cute photos of themselves and their baby boy on social media. They posted a picture of them and Parker on Father’s Day to commemorate Drew’s first celebration as a dad. The Instagram post showed him cradling the newborn while his wife lovingly admires the father-son duo and was captioned, “My first Father’s Day, I’m so thankful for this little nugget and Linda being in my life.”
Linda also posted a video of her husband rocking the baby to sleep via her Instagram page and wrote, “The way you look at our lil bub, the way you love and care for him… just makes my heart so full. Happy first Father’s Day.”
