Actress Candace Cameron Bure is celebrating her daughter, Natasha, getting baptized. Natasha was baptized in a pool by Dudley Rutherford, senior pastor at the California Shepherd of the Hills Church in Los Angeles. “My heart is overwhelmed by God’s goodness and grace,” Bure says in a post to congratulate and celebrate her daughter.
“As a mama, there’s nothing that tops this day. Nothing!! My three adult children have now all professed their faith, love, service and devotion to Jesus Christ; Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Savior of the world 🙌🏼.”
Bure concluded her celebration post with an excerpt from the Bible:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20pt.
Several big-name celebrities commented on the post, congratulating Natasha for the milestone. Actress Tamera Mowry, who wrote “Amen!!!!!!!!” Heather Locklear commented as well, saying, “Just beautiful Candace! You and God did an amazing thing!” Natasha shared her own Instagram post on the celebratory moment as well, saying, “God is GOOD! ❤️ Today was a special day,” adding, “Livin for the Lord!!”
Her famous mom commented on Natasha’s own post with heartfelt and emotional words, writing, “I’m still crying my eyes out 😭. Praise the Lord 🙌🏼. This mama is overwhelmed by God’s goodness and grace. I love you baby.”
Natasha is the oldest child of Full House star Bure and husband former ice hockey player Valeri Bure. They have two other children together as well, Lev, 22, and Maksim, 20. Natasha is actually following suit of her own brother’s baptism—he got baptized back in 2019 at Kanakuk, a Christian summer camp in Missouri. Bure has talked very openly about her Christian faith through the years, never wavering. She says that her faith helps her cope in hard times.
“My faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of who I am,” she tells TODAY back in April 2020. “My faith is so important to me whether in celebration or in challenges like this pandemic. I continue to stay in God’s word, the Bible, so I am comforted by truth and the hope God gives to all humanity and not allow fear to drive my emotions or decisions.”
