You can now go on The Love Boat! Princess Cruises is bringing back The Love Boat-themed cruise with some very special guests. Some of the iconic cast members from the show including Cynthia Lauren Tewes, Bernie Kopell, Fred Grandy, and Ted Lange will be aboard the ship to interact with fans. The cruise ship is planning a special birthday celebration to honor Gavin on what would have been his 91st birthday (Feb. 28). The ship departs on Feb. 26 and will return on March 5. Guests can expect some themed menus and cocktails, Love Boat episodes aired on the ship’s deck and a Q&A with the cast members.
You can go on a ‘Love Boat’ themed cruise next year
Guests can also go to a disco party and a renewal of the vows ceremony. The ship will depart from Los Angeles and make stops in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. It will return to Los Angeles.
Jill Whelan, who played Vicki on the show, shared, “This cruise will be extra special because we will also celebrate the life and career of Gavin, our fearless leader, who not only played my dad on TV but was also a true father figure to me beyond the show.” She will be an ambassador on the cruise ship.
Back in the ’70s, The Love Boat was filmed on the Sun Princess in Mexico. The cast members have reunited for special cruises in the past, so if you missed out before, now is your chance to meet the stars! It sounds like a very fun time for Love Boat fans.
