Entenmann’s Little Bites Soft Baked Cookies Recalled Due To Blue Plastic Contamination

Entenmann’s Little Bites Soft Baked Cookies are under recall after customers complain about finding blue plastic pieces on the products. The plastic pieces were not baked into the cookies and no injuries have been reported. However, it still poses a choking hazard, according to the US Food and Drug Administration.

Bimbo Bakeries USA Inc. owns Entenmann’s and they say that all packages of the “5-pack Mini Chocolate Chip variety” are being removed from store shelves.

The company releases a brief statement to CNN in an email. They say: “We received a small number of consumer reports, took immediate action to investigate and have corrected the manufacturing issue.”

The cookies under recall contain a single UPC Code (found in the lower right-hand corner on the back of the box): 7203002378. The states in which these cookies were NOT sold to include Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

The company advises that anyone who receives one of the boxes under recall, to not consume. Then, to return them to the place of purchase. Additionally, you may call 1-800-984-0989 for more information.

In conclusion, no other Entenmann’s products have been recalled or are under contamination. The company reassures customers that other products such as Little Bites Muffins’ production are on independent, dedicated production lines. This means that there is no room for cross-contamination of products.
