It’s The Dude!
The Dude’s cardigan in The Big Lebowski (1998) is manufactured by Pendleton and was first sold in 1974. It is called “The Original Westerley.” The sweater went out of sales in 1980, but thanks to Jeff Bridges who wore his own clothing in the film, as well as The Big Lebowski’s popularity, “The Original Westerley” resurfaced in sales. The sweater is sold by Pendleton today, and replicas are sold all over the internet, so you can sit back in The Dude’s handmade sweater and sip a White Russian.
