Unknown to many, June Lockhart enjoys rock music, and when she is not filming, she knows how to stay entertained with sounds from The Beatles, Stones, Chicago, David Bowie, Huey Lewis and the News, and Tina Turner.
Her TV son, Bill Mumy from Lost In Space, fittingly tagged her as a rock and roll goddess, adding that she gave him some music orientation during their time together. He recalled her dedication to the best rock experiences, which she would sometimes curate herself.
June Lockhart has a rebellious side no one knows about
The 99-year-old actress told Fox News Digital about hiring the Allman Brothers for her Halloween party in the ‘60s. She gushed about their guitar runs and vocals while admitting to being a music fan now and forever.
Mumy confirmed June’s claims, saying she brought the Allman Brothers to the studio and then took him and co-star Angela Cartwright to the Whiskey a Go Go, after which she secured their tickets to see Simon and Garfunkel.
Life at 99 years old
After a long and fulfilling Hollywood career, June still has fans who consider her their favorite, and even create active fan pages in her honor. On the flip side, she has had to deal with impersonators on social media using her image to extort unsuspecting supporters.
June expressed her gratitude at being able to maintain her squeaky-clean image and high self-esteem, as she never felt the need to change her looks or preferences for fame. Speaking of music, she performed at the New York Metropolitan Opera as a child before exploring the acting scene.
