The daring post was not random. Curtis explained that the lingerie came from her goddaughter, actress Maggie Gyllenhaal, whose new film, The Bride!, partnered with Victoria’s Secret. Jamie Lee Curtis’s lingerie, she wrote, was her way of showing support for both her “money makers” and Gyllenhaal’s latest creative project.

She admitted she could not figure out a better way to show public encouragement, so she improvised while riding in a limo around New York City. The caption added a personal touch, blending humor and loyalty. Fans quickly flooded the comments, praising her confidence and celebrating the fearless energy behind Jamie Lee Curtis’s lingerie reveal.

Confidence, Career, and a Playful New Chapter

Curtis also referenced her upcoming role as Dorothy Farinelli in the new Prime Video series Scarpetta, based on Patricia Cornwell’s bestselling novels. The eight-episode adaptation stars Nicole Kidman in the titular role and premieres March 11. By calling the selfie a very “Dorothy Farinelli” thing to do, Curtis cleverly tied the playful post to her evolving screen persona.

Jamie Lee Curtis in lingerie now feels less like shock value and more like self-assured fun. Decades into her career, she continues to balance prestige projects with humor and boldness. Whether accepting awards or snapping an impromptu limo selfie, Curtis proves she still knows how to command attention on her own terms.
