‘General Hospital’ Prepares Emotional Anthony Geary Tribute

Fans of General Hospital are still mourning Anthony Geary, the beloved actor who made Luke Spencer one of daytime television’s most unforgettable characters. Since his 1978 debut, Geary captivated audiences and helped the show soar during the legendary Luke and Laura era with Genie Francis. His passing on December 14, 2025, at age 78 in Amsterdam, left a deep mark on viewers around the world.

The Geary tribute will air Thursday, January 22, at the end of the episode. Soap Opera Digest reports that the special will feature a video montage spanning Geary’s most memorable moments as Luke Spencer. Cast members who worked closely with him also shared heartfelt reflections on his life and career.
