Roseanne Barr has stepped away from the limelight and now enjoys a quieter life in Texas, surrounded by her family and nature. At 72, the former sitcom star lives on a spacious 30-acre property in Hill Country with her son Jake Pentland, his wife, and their two daughters. Her 47-year-old son recently shared the excitement of having his mother around, acknowledging her as “the best grandma.”
Pentland revealed that Roseanne actively participates in her granddaughters‘ daily routines and helps to create a fun and lively home. The actress also enjoys staying outdoors and keeping the land well-maintained. She has been keeping a low profile since she was removed from her show in 2018 after posting a tweet widely seen as racist.
Roseanne Barr’s son claims she is the ‘best grandma’
Shortly after the controversy around Roseanne Barr’s post, ABC canceled the successful Roseanne reboot and replaced it with The Conners, continuing without her character. Although the actress later apologized and revealed that the incident was a turning point in her life and career, her character was written off as having died from an opioid overdose.
Now living with her family, Roseanne fondly hops on a tractor to mow the lawn and even uses a chainsaw to trim tree branches for the safety of the children. She has wildflowers in full bloom and a vegetable garden where she has started growing peppers. Although much of her time is now spent with family or tending to her garden, Roseanne continues to explore her creativity. She co-hosts a weekly podcast with her son and recently appeared in a Netflix project. Roseanne Barr enjoys writing scripts and may return to television soon, as news of her comeback recently made the rounds on social media.

Moving to Florida
Between her time in Texas, Roseanne Barr frequently travels to Palm Beach, Florida, where she stays with close friends. While she is considering relocating to Palm Beach permanently, any move is expected to wait until later in the year.

Roseanne still has projects in progress with her son as she looks forward to writing a memoir that reflects on her career, personal growth, and the ups and downs of her time in the entertainment industry.
