Father Steve Jakubowski joined a recent episode of Jeopardy! to face returning winner Chris Lindsay and a teacher named Jen Feldman. Sadly, Steve lost his earnings for third place in the final round, leaving him with only $99 at the show’s end.
It appears most viewers were more concerned about Steve’s appearance than his performance, as the show’s official Instagram was buzzing with compliments in the comments section. The catholic priest looked young and fit as he competed, wearing his religious outfit, complete with the pastor’s collar.

Viewers did not hesitate to compliment Steve on social media, with some joking about converting to Catholicism for his sake. “There is an extremely attractive Catholic priest on Jeopardy, and that’s just not fair,” someone exclaimed, while another called his presence a small but much-needed win.
Ruining his winning streak was the “New York Movies” category, with the clue “Frank Sinatra got upset that a photo of him caught fire in a Brooklyn pizzeria in this film.” Steve responded with “The Godfather II,” which ended up being wrong. Steve may not have left with much money; however, he exited the game show with his own little fan base.
Steve commended Ken Jennings and all members of the Jeopardy! team for making him comfortable enough as the first priest on the game show. He noted that his church had a watch party for Jeopardy! at their parish school in Austin, which was a lot of memorable fun.
At his loss, Ken jokingly quoted a Bible verse saying the last shall be the first. His rival, Lindsay, got the answer correct but wagered less than Feldman, who emerged as champion at the end. Amid the positive reactions to Steve’s presence, some critics thought Ken dwelled on the contestant’s identity as a priest to a fault.
