Dick Van Dyke and his wife, Arlene Silver, got married 12 years ago, and they celebrated with a hilarious wedding photo of their faces swapped, among other memories they have made. This came days before Dyke’s absence at the 2024 Emmys, where he was expected to present.
Speaking of award ceremonies, Dyke and Arlene met at the SAG awards in 2006, and she was 36 at the time. Dyke had hired her for makeup services, and their working relationship blossomed into friendship and then marriage six years later.

Dyke is one to acknowledge Arlene at every chance, even crediting her for his well-being at 98, as she often encourages him to work out. Although he was missing from the Emmys at Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, Dyke recently received a Daytime Emmy for his guest appearance in Days of Our Lives.

While giving his speech, he commended Arlene, who was right beside in a baby blue low-neckline dress, for playing the cop who arrested him. He expressed his pleasant surprise at how long he has been in the business, noting that he would have paid more attention to his health if he knew better.
Fans acknowledged Arlene’s celebratory post and wished the longtime couple a happy anniversary. “I can’t believe it’s been 12 years Chicole! Cheers to many more,” one wrote, while another commended the “youthfulness in your marriage.”
Before Arlene, Dyke was married to Margerie Willett, with whom he had four children— Christian, Barry, Stacy, and Carrie Beth. After their split, he dated Michelle Triola for 30 years until her death in 2009, after which he met Arlene and tied the knot in a few years.
