Two fans, Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden, recently sued Madonna for false advertising after she arrived at her concert in Brooklyn, New York, two hours later than the announced time. The “Material Girl” singer responded via representatives that they “intend to defend this case vigorously.”
Regardless of her legal challenge, Madonna appeared stunning at her Madison Square Garden show in a red negligee and a short blonde wig. Coincidentally, it was her daughter Chifundo ‘Mercy’ James Kambewa Ciccone’s birthday, so she also sang her a song.

Madonna was reportedly late to her December 13 show for which she is being sued due to “sound check issues.” However, concertgoers Fellows and Hadden are not having it. The Barclays Center, the promoter Live Nation, and the ticketing service are also caught in the crossfire, and Nashville-based entertainment lawyer Michael Ransom considers the naming of multiple defendants malicious.

The lawsuit alleges “unconscionable, unfair, and/or deceptive trade practices,” as well as “a wanton exercise in false advertising.” Fellows and Hadden claim they were “left stranded in the middle of the night” and “confronted with limited public transportation, limited ride-sharing, and/or increased public and private transportation costs” after the show due to the Princess of Pop’s tardiness.
Fans react to Madonna’s stunning appearance
Madonna shared photos from her recent show on Instagram with the caption, “There is nothing in the world like playing NYC! Thank you for joining me @tokischa.popola on the last night. It’s always FUN Spending time with you. And thank you for my new grill! MOTHER! I Love it!!”
Her followers were in the comments with mixed reactions; however, one could tell there were more delighted fans than critics. “Say what you want, but Madonna will forever be the queen of pop,” someone wrote. “Mama, you look so good,” another added. A concerned Instagram user advised the music icon to “retire from the spotlight & buy a home in Florida.”
“Don’t you have kids??? When do you quit? When do you stop seeking strangers’ attention? So sad,” another agreed.
