Recent reports about country music legend Kris Kristofferson suggest that he may be in the later stages of his life and facing health challenges. The 87-year-old icon has navigated a complex health journey, which began with his initial diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease in 2013.
However, further medical assessment results revealed that his memory loss was actually linked to a bacterial infection— Lyme disease. Although medication provided some relief for the “Why Me” crooner, it seems his health is declining again, as close sources suggest he may be close to the end of his life.

Insiders claimed that there has been a gradual decline in the activity and energy levels of the singer as he advances in age. “Kris didn’t feel he was up to touring anymore,” a pal admitted. “Now, he just wants to make things easier for his family by turning his holdings into cash that will go to them when he’s gone.”
Kris Kristofferson’s wife, Lisa says her husband improved after the treatment
Following Kristofferson’s accurate diagnosis of Lyme disease, his wife, Lisa, believed that her husband had contracted the disease from a tick during the six-week period he spent crawling on the forest floor in Vermont while filming the movie Disappearances.
Furthermore, she also shared that her husband’s health notably improved after he received treatment for his new diagnosis of Lyme disease. “He was taking all these medications for things he doesn’t have, and they all have side effects,” Lisa explained. “All of a sudden, he was back.”
