One 9-year-old boy named Brady Snakovsky raised almost $80,000 in order to purchase bulletproof vests for the K9 officers across the country. Brady aspires to be a police officer when he’s older. He came up with this idea after watching one of his favorite cop shows, Live PD. He had noticed a K9 officer was not wearing a bulletproof vest and decided to do something to change that.
The young boy then asked his mother if he could purchase a vest for a K9 officer in need of one. However, they both found out together that just one vest could cost up to $1,200. As a result, they launched a GoFundMe page to raise the necessary funds.
This morning Tpr. Browne, K9 Atos, Tpr. Mayle and K9 Ure met up with Brady and his mother for breakfast. Brady is the…
So much money has been raised for the police force already!
The GoFundMe page has raised $80,400+ out of their $85,000 goal and it’s still climbing to this day! The Ohio State Highway Patrol got ahold of Brady and his family. They posted about the situation on their official Facebook page. “Brady is the founder of Brady’s K9 Fund, a non-profit organization that raises money to purchase body armor for police canines,” they said. “Both Atos and Ure are wearing vests that Brady’s K9 Fund recently purchased. As of this week, Brady has donated 72 protective vests to police canines across Ohio and New York.”
“The troopers met with Brady to thank him and his foundation for their generous donations. They also presented Brady with the pictured Trooper badge wall sign as a personal thank you. Thank you, Brady!”
Trooper Jim Baker, whose K9 received a vest, praised the efforts from Brady and his mom. “Makes me feel great knowing that not only is he protecting me, but I’m also protecting him,” he said. “It’s a great partnership.”
On the GoFundMe page, Brady (and his mom) write, “I hope to provide as many vests as I possibly can to the very deserving officers that are out there. Currently, we have a waiting list of 20+ Police Officers who have contacted us in need of a vest. With your help we can help provide them with one.”

Brady says that one day, he hopes all K9 officers can have bulletproof vests. “With donors’ help, he’s starting to make that dream come true — one dog at a time,” their GoFundMe page says.
We’re so happy to hear about the amazing work that Brady is doing for law enforcement!
