It was a shock to co-stars, family, and fans alike when Luke Perry passed away last month from a stroke. He was only 52 years old, so we definitely thought we had more time to watch his talents onscreen! Hollywood has now set a date to celebrate Luke’s life with some of his closest friends, family, and those who have worked with him over the years.
Luke had a rich career and is best known for playing a hunk in Beverly Hills, 90210, as well as The Fifth Element, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 8 Seconds, and his most recent project, teen drama Riverdale. An invitation has been extended to people who worked with Luke on such projects, especially Beverly Hills, 90210 and Riverdale.
Who else will likely attend this event?
The invite was not only sent to the actors who worked with Luke but the crew members who knew Luke as well. Of course, friends and family received this invitation as well. The celebration of his life is a private event that will be held on April 13, 2019, at the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California.
The invite also shares that a reception will be held at 4 p.m. and a memorial will be held immediately after at 5 p.m. No other information about the event has been leaked. It is unclear what Luke’s children Sophie and Jack will share at the memorial.
We hope this gives them some love and support that they likely really need at this time.
Sophie and Jack have both posted tributes to their late father on Instagram. Sophie has posted more than Jack, also sharing her disgust to fans who have bullied her for her grieving process.
Zelda Williams, the daughter of the late Robin Williams, jumped to her defense.

A lot has happened in this past week for me. Everything is happening so fast. I made it back from Malawi just in time to be here with my family, And in the past 24 hours I have received an overwhelming amount of love and support. I cannot individually respond to the hundreds of beautiful and heartfelt messages, but I see them, and appreciate you all for sending positivity to my family and I. I’m not really sure what to say or do in this situation, it’s something you aren’t ever given a lesson on how to handle, especially when it’s all happening in the public eye. So bear with me and know that I am grateful for all the love. Just, being grateful quietly.
It has been reported that Luke was cremated and his ashes were spread around the Tennesse farm where he lived. He lived at his beloved farm on and off for the past 20 years. Luke died on March 4, 2019, after being unable to recover from a massive stroke.
We hope that this celebration will go well and give peace to Luke’s family and co-workers! We miss Luke so much. According to IMDb, we may see Luke on our screens again. He was involved in a movie called Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which is currently in post-production. IMDb shares that he played Scott Lancer in the film. It will be bittersweet to see him in a movie after his untimely death.
