‘Cake Boss’ Buddy Valastro Reveals The Secret Behind His Big Weight Loss

Buddy Valastro, star of the TLC show “Cake Boss” and owner of Carlo’s Bakery in New Jersey has slimmed down quite a bit. The baker recently lost a lot of weight!

Known for his elaborate cakes and crazy family, Buddy is recognized around the world. Buddy’s recent posts on Instagram show a much trimmer version of the baker.

Just compare the above photo to this one, taken in December! He looks so different, even though it’s only been about 6 months.

In a post, he credits his weight loss to a program called Optavia. He writes on Instagram with a photo of him and his wife, “A lot of people have been asking me how I’ve slimmed down lately so I just wanted to share that I’ve used the Optavia program. I’m not being paid to say this and it should be noted that I think everybody is different and you should do whatever suits you but this is what I’m doing and I’m very happy with the results so far!”

His wife, Lisa also looks stunning in the photo of the pair at a restaurant.

Optavia offers different plans to help people with their goals, whether they want to lose weight or just eat healthier. From the looks of their website, they offer coaches that help people reach their goals. They also offer plans that focus on eating six small meals per day and cooking healthy meals.

However, according to Buddy’s Instagram, it looks like he cheats every once in a while. He posted a picture of himself looking thrilled, holding a plate of delicious veal parmesan.

He has also recently teased a new show in the works called “Buddy V’s Kitchen.” We wonder if he will be sharing his new healthy recipes on the show!

He has been sharing his amazing cakes on “Cake Boss” since 2009. They are currently on the 10th season of the show.
