Larry Birkhead’s daughter, Dannielynn, who he had with the late Anna Nicole Smith, recently showed off a new hairstyle ahead of her 18th birthday. The teenager posed with her dad in an extravagant costume as they enjoyed some father-daughter time at the Official Power Morphicon Convention for Tokusatsu in California.
Dannielynn got to meet some of her favorite Japanese live-action actors, including Masahiro Inoue from Kamen Rider Decade, Ryota Ozawa, who played Gokai Red in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, and Yasuhisa Furuhara from Engine Sentai Go-Onger.
Dannielynn outdid herself at the convention as she cosplayed three characters from Kamen Rider, including Hino Eiji, Ankh, and a fusion of both depicting Ankh’s possession of Eiji with the former’s bird hands and feather hair. The young live-action nerd looked starstruck and excited as she shook hands with her favorites and recreated their acts.
Larry made sure to document the highlights of the festival on his Instagram page, causing fans to react with admiration for his daughter. “I love that she is able to be herself and not expected to be her mom,” someone pointed out. “I love that you indulge in her geeky interests even if she playfully makes fun of yours. It’s so sweet,” another echoed.
Ever since Nicole died from an accidental overdose, it has been just Dannielynn and Larry making sure to keep her legacy alive and be there for each other. Fans acknowledged this in the comments of Larry’s latest post as they praised him for bringing Dannielynn up correctly. “You have the coolest father daughter relationship! You’re such an amazing father,” a fan wrote.
Father and daughter ensure to spend quality time together, and have made it a tradition to attend the Kentucky Derby every year since Dannielynn was a toddler. Her latest appearance got people talking as she looked all grown up with shorter hair while wearing a red dress and a matching floral hat.
