Earlier in March, Lindsay Lohan shared the wonderful news that she and her husband, Bader Shammas, are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first child. During a recent interview with Allure, the 36-year-old expressed her immense joy and anticipation for her upcoming role as a mother.
“I can’t wait to see what the feeling is and what it’s like to just be a mom,” she admitted to the publication, where she graces the cover and shows off her baby bump. “Happy tears, that’s just who I am. Though now, it’s probably baby emotion. “It’s overwhelming. In a good way.”
While discussing with Allure, the actress shared insights into how she discovered her pregnancy. She disclosed that she was in Dubai at the time and began to notice distinct changes within herself, leading her to suspect that she might be expecting a child.
Lohan stated that she decided to take a pregnancy test to confirm her instincts, but she was not enthusiastic about the discovery. “It was so unexciting,” she reminisced. “I walked into the room (to my husband). I threw the test down. I was like, ‘Guess what?’ He goes, ‘We are?’”
Since the realization of her pregnancy, she recognizes the importance of finding a harmonious balance between her career and family, Lohan had sought guidance from actress Jamie Lee Curtis, a fellow working mother of two grown-up children, Annie and Ruby, whom she shares with her husband, Christopher Guest.
Lohan further explained that the 64-year-old, who also doubles as her on-screen mom in Freaky Friday, has been supportive since she took in. The actress also stated that Curtis gave her one of the best pieces of advice in the world. “I spoke to Jamie Lee Curtis recently,” Lohan confessed to Allure, “and she was like, ‘You just bring the baby with you, everything will be fine.'”
