Harrison Ford Jokes About His Wife’s Reaction To Curse Word-Filled Interview

Harrison Ford had an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in February 2023 to promote his new movie, Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny. Apparently, Ford used curse words in the interview, and his wife, Calista Flockhart, was not having it.

In a more recent chat with Esquire for a cover interview, Ford talked about his interest in aviation and used a curse word while talking, which made him refer back to the February interview.

“Me and the writer were sitting on folding chairs in a horse stall. It didn’t feel like a formal enough atmosphere to have to clean up my language. And they printed every single f—,” he added.

Ford reprised his role as Indiana Jones in the final installment of the franchise. The actor explained that he wanted to give the famous Jones character an “ambitious” send off hence why he played the role again and for the first time since 2008’s Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull.

“I wanted an ambitious movie to be the last one. And I don’t mean that we didn’t make ambitious movies before—they were ambitious in many different ways,” he said. “But not necessarily as ambitious with the character as I wanted the last one to be.”

The new Indiana Jones film premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. Some critics said it was Ford’s most emotional performance so far since playing the character in 1981’s Raiders Of The Lost Ark.

Is Ford retiring soon?

At the French international film festival in May, Ford joked during a press conference for the upcoming movie that he needed to rest— not from work, but from playing Jones. “Is it not evident? I need to sit down and rest a little bit. I love to work, and I love this character, and I love what it brought into my life, and that’s all I can say,” he said.

“Everything has come together to support me in my old age, and I love the work. So I just want to work, and I want to tell stories, good stories, and I have been so lucky in my life to have that opportunity,” Ford added. The last Indiana Jones film will be out in theaters on June 30th.
