Jamie Lee Curtis started her acting career in the ‘70s, playing the role of Laurie Strode in John Carpenter’s horror film Halloween released in 1978. Curtis has always been surrounded by Hollywood actors and stars from birth, being born to actor parents Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis in 1958. It is no surprise that Curtis is quite a natural when it comes to horror movies, earning her the reputation as a scream queen.

Curtis’ diligence and consistency have earned her many recognition and awards in Hollywood like a BAFTA award, two Golden Globe wins among several nominations, a Grammy nomination, and many more. One of her most recent awards was a Screen Actor’s Guild award in February 2023. However, to celebrate the actress, a group of rescue dogs was dressed up as different characters from her movies.
