John Travolta’s sister Ellen Travolta recently had one of her dreams come true. John confirmed that Ellen will be appearing in a new Hallmark movie called Haul Out the Holly, also starring Hallmark star Lacey Chabert.
John shared a sneak peek on his Instagram with a photo from the film featuring Ellen and wrote, “My sister Ellen always wanted to be in a Hallmark Christmas movie and had so much fun making it!” He added, “Watch Haul Out The Holly this coming Saturday Nov. 26 at 8pm/7pmC on the Hallmark Channel.”
Lacey re-shared John’s Instagram story and said that she had so much fun working with Ellen. Ellen has been acting for years and even appeared in John’s classic film Grease. She is best known for her role as Louisa Arcola in Happy Days and Joanie Loves Chachi.
Ellen once shared that she started watching Hallmark movies after her husband, Jack Bannon died in 2017. She revealed that she watched the films with her cat and it helped her feel a little better after he was gone. She really wanted to appear in one of the films and asked her brother John for his help.
Ellen explained, “I was away with John in Austria and all I did was talk about being on Hallmark. So when we got back, he called his agent and asked, ‘What do we have to do to get Ellen in a Hallmark movie? All she wants is one line.’” So, it finally happened! Ellen added about the experience, “I was so thrilled to do it. When I got there, everybody included me. People were so kind and respectful, and they knew everything I’d ever done. They weren’t even born when I was doing television!”
